Nueces County Children's Advocacy Center |
|
The Nueces County Children's Advocacy Center (NCCAC) is a non-profit organization that works with sexually and severely physically abused children, child witnesses to violent crime, and their non-offending family members.
NCCAC is an accredited member of the Nation Children's Alliance and Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas, Inc. We receive funding from the CAC's of Texas, the Attorney General's Office, Victims of Crime Act (VOCA), and private donations. Our mission is to lessen the trauma to abused children and their families by uniting the efforts of public agencies and enlisting the support of the community. Our goals are to advocate for the rights of children and their specific needs and create an environment where child abuse is no longer tolerated. |

In 2006 the Nueces County Children’s Advocacy Center conducted 1,725 forensic interviews and provided over 3,000 services to families in the Coastal Bend community. The Nueces County Children's Advocacy Center provides more services than most major CAC's in the State on less than a quarter of their budget. Therefore, your support is needed and is important to the operation of our center.

When the Texas Legislature enacted legislation to allow the development of Children’s Advocacy Centers by communities, these individuals began the formation of ours.
